Pemmican Wars

While adjusting to a new school and family circumstances, Echo Desjardins is unexpectedly transported into the nineteenth-century Métis world. Her encounters with the buffalo hunt and the pemmican trade connect personal questions about belonging to a history of resistance, community, and survival in the first volume of the A Girl Called Echo graphic-novel series.
