About Favedom
What Favedom Is
Favedom is a curated discovery and reference corpus for Young Adult books and YA-originated intellectual property — built for librarians, educators, and general readers.
Every popularity claim on Favedom is evidence-labeled and source-attributed. If we say a title is widely borrowed, we name the library systems, the as-of date, and the source. If we say it won an award, we cite the award body and year. We do not aggregate, invent, or estimate.
Corpus range: 1957–present
What Favedom Is Not
Favedom is not a social reading platform. There are no star ratings, no aggregate review scores, no user-generated rankings, and no social features. Every signal traces to a named, checkable source.
How Titles Are Selected
A title enters the Favedom corpus through our five-source classification rule. A title must be evidenced by at least three qualifying sources — library circulation data, award recognition, bestseller lists, publisher trade coverage, or adaptation activity — before it is promoted to the corpus. Borderline cases go through editorial review.
