They Both Die at the End

Shortly after midnight, Death-Cast informs Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio that each will die before the day ends. The two teenagers are strangers, isolated for different reasons and looking for someone with whom to spend their final hours. They meet through the Last Friend app and set out across New York City together. As the day progresses, their shared experiences connect their separate lives and give them a chance to make choices they had avoided. The novel follows one day of friendship, risk, grief, and intimacy under a known deadline.
