This debut novel in verse follows fifteen-year-old Esme, a dedicated dancer who earns a coveted place on an elite team with her best friend, Mia. Financial strain at home, resentment from displaced dancers, years of being oversexualized, and an assault during a night out leave Esme struggling to regain her balance, trust her loved ones, and extend grace to herself.
