Jasper Jones

In a small Australian town in 1965, thirteen-year-old Charlie Bucktin is awakened by Jasper Jones, a local boy blamed whenever trouble occurs. Jasper leads him to a terrible discovery in the bush and asks for his help keeping it secret while they search for the person responsible. Charlie's investigation draws him into the town's buried violence, racism, and hypocrisy, while his friendship with Jeffrey Lu exposes another side of the same prejudice. The mystery becomes a test of whom Charlie trusts and what courage requires.
