This Poison Heart

Briseis has always possessed an extraordinary power over plants: flowers bloom near her and leaves turn toward her presence. She and her adoptive mothers have kept the gift hidden until Briseis inherits an old house from her birth mother. Its overgrown grounds contain a garden of deadly poisonous plants, a concealed altar, and generations of family secrets. Exploring the estate forces her to confront the lineage and dangerous responsibility attached to her abilities.
