About this work & edition details

In a future damaged by climate change, much of the population has lost the ability to dream. North America's Indigenous people can still dream, and others believe their bone marrow holds a cure for the resulting madness. Fifteen-year-old Frenchie joins a group fleeing the recruiters who capture Indigenous people for marrow-harvesting factories. Their journey becomes a struggle for physical survival, cultural memory, and reunion with those they have lost while a violent system pursues them.
